It’s an Intimate Women's Portraiture Experience
Boudoir is a photographic style featuring intimate, romantic, and sometimes erotic images of its subjects, primarily intended for the private enjoyment of the subject and their romantic partners. It is distinct from glamour and art nude photography in that it is usually more suggestive rather than explicit in its approach to nudity and sexuality, features subjects who do not regularly model and produces images that are not intended to be seen by a wide audience, but rather to remain private.

Carissa and I met a few weeks earlier and I booked her for this and my wedding. The whole day is so relaxed - you are pampered with nibbles and champagne while your hair and makeup is done before heading over to Carissa’s gorgeous studio. What a vibe!
Carissa made me feel relaxed and comfortable. We chatted about styles and clothing options that both I brought and she had , and then mapped a plan for the shoot. The poses were sexy and fun with lots of laughter. I loved changing from a seductive black outfit with heels to a more sexy-lounge look with socks and a jumper.

There is so much pressure surrounding mums to "bounce back" or "lose the baby weight" and it's something I've really struggled with. I struggled with it after Asher and I told myself this time around I would have a different mind set, but it's harder than I thought.
My clothes don't fit the same, I haven't been able to exercise or play netball, I look in the mirror and I'm just not happy with how I look. When people ask how I am and compliment me on how good I look, I don't know what to say because I don't agree.
This is something I'm working on, I know I need to so I can set a good example for my children. I need to buy clothes that fit me, instead of trying to fit the clothes. I will get back into my exercise and netball and I start feeling like myself again. This will pass and I won't let it beat me.
These photos were taken back in 2019 and once I'm feeling a bit more confident in my new skin, I'll definitely be doing it again!
